Well we're back from visiting churches. It's been a long, but fun weekend. We went down to Decatur and met some of our friends that live down that way and went golfing with them. We usually have ALOT of fun golfing, but this was not a great golfing experience. The people at the golf course treated us horribly. We were just taking our time and enjoying the day. When people would come up behind us, we would let them play through because we had a couple of newbies playing. And someone called and complained on us that we were slowing everyone down and one of the "Guys in charge" come out and "Made" us wait until about 3 or 4 groups played through in front of us and we had already let 6 groups go in front of us already. He was very rude. Anyway, we won't be going back to that golf course. Way to richy for us. It was a public golf course in a State Park in Decatur, but they acted like a Country Club. It was not a great experience. But we all still had a good time with each other. Thank the Lord for the beautiful weather. The day was gorgeous Saturday. It was 83 degrees, but not steaming hot.
The church services went really good on Sunday. We went to the Somerville church this morning. God was there in such a mighty way this morning. We could feel his Spirit so strongly. It is so wonderful to know that no matter where you go in TCOG, you can still feel the love from people and feel the same Spirit that you feel at your local church. Well I hope you all had a great weekend. I'm going to bed. I'm surviving on about 7 hours of sleep for the whole weekend. Love you all. God bless.

Oh, MY GOODNESS!!! You're a transformed woman!!! THREE, count them, T-H-R-E-E posts in just a few days' time!!! WOW! Yippee!!! You're doing good, girl!
Sorry about your lousy golf experience. That's a bummer. For what you have to PAY to golf these days, you ought to be able to enjoy yourself! It's NOT a game to some people. Back in the olden days when I used to golf, we played a course in Oklahoma City once that was so difficult--it had SO MANY sandtraps, water hazards and WOODS EVERYWHERE, that we RAN OUT of balls before we could finish the front 9 and had to go buy more balls before we could play the back 9! HA! The exercise is great, but the cost (not to mention time) is way too prohibitive these days. Besides, when we played we played for fun. Most other people are too competitive and serious about the game. I've sometimes laughed so hard I've literally fallen down on the fairway in laughter--just laughing so hard I could NOT stand up! Now, THAT'S the way to play a GAME! :-)
I could never understand golf. Putt Putt...Now that's a fun game!
Sis. Smith, Our group was like you. We all just go to have fun, we aren't serious, we laugh and make fun of each other, but obviously the people at this course was not that way. There was some very snobby people there that didn't like us at all. I think they thought we made their course look bad.
Sis Tammy, I'm with you, I would much rather play putt putt. That is more my speed. My favorite thing on real golf is driving the golf cart and seeing the kids play.
Ah! Driving the golf cart. That could be very fun!!! I've never done that. Only problem is..I would be off driving it and everybody would have to walk!
I can't get serious about any old game...even the AL vrs. Auburn stuff....run and ducking now...~giggle~.
