This is a pic of the kids at the police station in Hoover about 20 minutes from our house. They got to see the swat cars and sit in the police cars. They thought it was so cool. Dalton wants to be a cop when he gets older. I'm praying that he will change his mind by then, but he's said it ever since he was 4. So if God don't undertake, I'm gonna be a very worried mom. But they did have fun and that's what counts, for right now anyway.

The moms of our church got together to take the kids to a local amusement park close to our house for a field trip last Thursday. They are usually expensive and we can't do that. But they had a Kids free weekend. So only the moms had to pay. We had a lot of fun. The kids had a blast.

Madison is on the right with her best friend Rachel. I thought this was the cutest picture of them. They are inseparable. Rachel's family is moving to Decatur soon, which is about 1 1/2 hours away and they are both so sad. I don't know what I'm going to do when they move. Madison is going to be miserable.

This is her and
Rach on the kiddie roller coaster. Aren't they cute.

The 2 boys sitting together are Andrew and Dalton (on right). Dalton wouldn't hold his hands up. I don't know why. But they had fun anyway.

Here they are on the kid airplanes. I thank the Lord for the church kids at our church. They are good kids and I'm glad that my kids have other christian friends to be around. I am also very thankful that I can
home school, especially when I see things that happened like the Virginia Tech stuff. The Lord has really blessed us, so that we can
home school. And I know where my kids are and what they are going through at all times. I really didn't want to
home school. I was scared of it. But I sent Dalton to Kindergarten and saw how the school's operated and I really didn't like it at all. So I prayed
ALOT and I felt the Lord calling me to
home school. Will was very unsure at first. But he's even been won over now. Anyway, I've done enough rambling. Hope you all are doing good.

Wow, just when I was about to chide you for "backsliding" on your blog commitment you pulled out all the stops and went crazy here! WA HOO!!! Great pics and great commentary.
I know what you mean about the whole homeschool situation. I was VERY anti-homeschool when I was first confronted with the idea but the Lord changed my mind, then He changed my husband's mind. It's generally the Dad who's slower to accept the homeschool commitment and it's generally related to sports. They want their sons to be involved in sports. It seems like I'm picking up on a dangerous trend in the whole sports issue, though; it's becoming more and more a god to people. Young people and older ones, too, are spending SO MUCH time, money and effort on sports that it overshadows the time, money and effort they have available to the Lord and His Church. *sigh*--Who said anything about sports, anyway? What I'd like to say is, I commend you and the other families there in your local church who are investing in your children's education and making sure it's not tainted with the world's views. Keep humble before the Lord and your investment will pay off with godly children who will one day raise up godly grandchildren for you to enjoy someday, should the Lord tarry (and I hope He doesn't!).
Sister Krystal
Thanks for sharing all your exciting news. I'm with you on the home-schooling thing. My older son Jonathan is the one that wanted me to start home-schooling. He kept bugging me about me from the time he started first grade. I just didn't have the patience or at least I didn't think I had the patience. lol I started homeschooling when my older daughter was going into 7th grade. I'm so glad I made that choice. Schools are getting worse and you just can't trust anyone. Keep up the good work.
Love you
Thanks for the words of encouragement ladies. I already see a change in what my children are learning. Madison is learning twice as much than Dalton did in public school Kindergarten. And Dalton seems so much happier at home and he's learning more too.
Sis. Pam, I definitely didn't think I had the patience either, but the Lord has really taught me alot since I've been homeschooling. I've learned if I am calm they are calm and we have a better school day instead of all of us being stressed.
Alaena begged me to homeschool for over a year, but I wasn't too sure about it. She was so unhappy in private Christian school. We started homeschooling half way through 6th grade for Alaena and in 9th grade for Dustin. They have gone through public, private and homeschool and both liked homeschool better. Their confidence & self esteem shot sky high when we started homeschooling.
