Saturday was WONDERFUL!

Hey you guys! My husband gets the husband of the year award. As I've already explained our Anniversary was Wednesday, but we celebrated it on Saturday.
I woke up to breakfast in bed. I was very surprised. He did a really good job on it too. Then we went out and swam in the pool for a couple of hours with the kids. He told me we needed to leave the house by 4 pm, so we got out about 3 and started getting ready. My mom and dad watched our kids for us and we went to dinner. He took me to a restaurant that you have to have reservations. It's a really nice restaurant in Hoover, AL but it stays packed all the time. So he made reservations for 4:30. When we got there, the lady walked us to the table and there were these flowers sitting on the table. There is a yellow rose for each year that we've been married. He got the florist to deliver them to the restaurant so I would be more surprised.
I started crying as soon as I seen them. This was the most romantic thing he has ever done for me. The food at this restaurant was awesome. No wonder why they stay packed and the service was great. Anyway we had a great dinner and really enjoyed ourselves.
Next we went to our church and left the flowers there and headed to Tuscaloosa, AL. There is a college down there that has a Theatre (plays) on there campus. So we went to see a play called The Music Man. It was really good.
He made me feel so special Saturday. He kept worrying that I wasn't gonna like everything, but I loved it. It couldn't have been more perfect. I'm telling all of you, my husband was not like this before Couples Retreat. He didn't take time to think out stuff like this. God changed him tremendously. He was very romantic when we dated, but after we got married it all stopped. But now it's back to the way we were when we dated (almost, add 2 kids). He writes me love notes and shows me more affection and romance. God really did something for our marriage and we are happier than ever.
Hope all of you are doing okay and that you all had a wonderful weekend as well. Till next time.

Happy Anniversary to Me!

Hey you guys! Just letting all of you know that yesterday was mine and Will's 10th Anniversary. Here is us June 20, 1997. We looked so young even 10 years ago.

The Lord has really blessed us these last 10 years. God has given me a great husband that I cherish so much. After the tragedy that has happened with Kasey, it really makes you wake up and realize that we need to cherish every day like it's the last. I never want to take anything for granted again. I was so saddened to hear what had happened. I don't know Kasey and Damon personally but I seen them across the room at Couple's Retreat. They looked like a very happy couple. My family and our local church is praying for Kasey and their families. I just can't imagine what type of pain they are experiencing. God only knows.

I hope all of you are doing well. We didn't really do anything special today for our Anniversary since it was a work day and church night, so we will be celebrating it on Saturday. He has something planned for us, but he won't tell me. So I'll blog about it when I find out. Not much else going on around here right now except school troubles with Dalton again and I will definitely not bore you all with that problem. Just pray for us. Love you all and hope you have great weekends.

Pray for me please!

Hey everyone! For those of you that don't know, I have been having ALOT of trouble with my knees for the last couple of years, but it's gotten alot worse, especially the last month or so. I finally broke down and went to the doctor yesterday. I was told exactly what I thought I would be. Lose weight! DUH! But he wasn't hateful about it. He even started out with "Please, don't get upset at me for saying this." Guess that's happened before with other people.

He said if I didn't lose weight and soon that I would eventually have to have a total new replacement in both knees. YUK!!!

I told him that I knew that I needed to lose and I've tried. I even went completely off sugar for 3 weeks and didn't lose but 2 pounds. (So not worth it). I've had a hard time exercising because of my knees. So the doctor told me to get an exercise bike and that it wouldn't be as hard on my knees as walking on concrete or a treadmill. So I went and bought a exercise bike tonight and I have officially started cutting back (I'm not on a diet cause I hate that word).

I'm asking that all of you pray for me. I need a lot of strength. I want to do this naturally and healthy. If any of you have any great healthy recipes or any advice, please let me know. But most of all your prayers for the healing of my knees and for my weight loss is so greatly appreciated.

Hope you all are doing well. Till next time.

Church graduation

Okay Tammy you ask for it, you got it. But sorry most of my pics turned out Blurry, don't know why I have that problem with my digital camera, but anyway. Here are the programs for their graduation at the church.

Here are the three graduates. Kayla, on left, did not want to be there or really participate, but she ended up doing good. Aren't they cute? My baby, Madison is on the right and Rachel is in the middle.
Here is the cake, it was really good. Half of it was chocolate inside and half was white.

After the graduation, we had a camp fundraiser service. Each individual would pay for someone to do something and if they didn't want to do it, they had to pay double to get out of it. It was fun and spiritual. Sis. Tammy paid $20 to hear all the ladies sing in a choir, so we all sang. Then one of the other ladies paid $20 to get all the men to do the same thing. So here they are.
It was really fun, plus we raised $ 365.00 for all of us to go to camp. We have raised
$663.00 so far. And we are selling donuts on Friday and Saturday. We have 150 to sell but 43 are preorders. So pray that we sell all of them. If we do that will be another $395.00. I am so proud of our youth. They have really come together to raise money this year. There are 32 of us going to camp from Bessemer and this will give us about $30.00 off of our tuition. Praise the Lord for blessing our fundraising! By all means I am not bragging! I hope you all don't take me wrong. But I'm just thanking the Lord for his blessings, because a lot of us have kids and it is real hard to pay for all of us to go to camp. God knows the need and he WILL answer. Hope all of you are doing well. Love you all! God bless.
