Just came back from Youth Retreat

Hey all you bloggers!

We just had our 4th Annual Youth Retreat. It was really good. We had local ministers from our State to preach. Friday night was our get acquainted night. The kids kind of sit back. But Saturday night was wonderful. The Lord was there in such a mighty way. Our minister didn't even get to preach. The spirit of the Lord took over and the youth filled the altars. We had one young man that got saved and sanctified and another young lady was filled with the Holy Ghost.
We had such a wonderful time.
With around 30-35 in attendance depending on the day. We had a bonfire both Friday and Saturday night. We all watched the Iron Bowl on Saturday. Which was highly disappointing (Bama lost)!! We also had a Scavenger Hunt and a class that we called Speech class. We had 14 items and scriptures to go along with the items. We had 14 of our young people to come up and pick an item and talk on it and their scripture for 2 minutes. Many of them were nervous, but our youth leader (my husband) explained to them, that this was preparing them to be leaders in their local churches and possibly State leaders one day. They all did an exceptional job.

Of course, Sunday come and it was time to say goodbye, which is the hardest part. We have a wonderful group of young people that truely love the Lord. It is so hard to say goodbye to them.
Please say a prayer for them, some of them are really going through a lot right now.

Hopefully I'll be able to post some pics soon.

God bless you all until next time.

Sorry you guys

Sorry it's been so long since I posted. I am a total loser at blogging. I had no idea it had been that long since I posted last. Anyway, things have been really busy around here. In case some of you guys didn't know, I used to be the Asst. Editor of our State paper. Well, I gave it up in November 2005, because I had just started homeschooling and couldn't manage both. Now, I have been asked to do the paper again. Everything is running smooth, so far. I just have to glue myself to the computer for a full day and it will get done. Now most of you ladies know that is impossible with an 8 yr old and a 5 yr old.

I was trying to do some on the paper today and Madison came in the room and said (and I quote) "Mommy do you care more about that stupid computer or your two babies." I knew then it was time for a break. Madison is a child that will bug you until you listen to her. So I had to assure her that mommy loved her more than the computer, I just had A LOT of work to do.

I am really looking forward to tomorrow. We are going on a field trip with the kids homeschool group to the FBI building, downtown Birmingham. They are so strict, we had to give them our SS# three months ago, so they could run background checks on us. We are so excited. I will try to post how it turned out. I hope we're not disappointed.

Monday, the 30th, we went to a place called Critter Creek Farm with the kids. It was really cool. They were having a pumpkin patch there. They had a hay ride, some inflatable jumping things, a nice playground and an awesome petting zoo. They had goats, a donkey, a pony, reindeer, and a deer (buck) and a baby deer. It was nice. The kids had so much fun.

When we got home me and the kids painted our pumpkins. It was a lot of fun.

We are starting a weekend revival at our church tomorrow night, the 3rd with my Brother in law, Tim Cox from Virginia. Please be praying for our revival. We really need a mighty move of the Lord.

Thanks you guys for reading my blog, hopefully I haven't bored you to much.
